Roman Mucking Roman villa and farm at Mucking
The main villa building occupied the centre of the enclosure which is surrounded by a stout fence. The main entrance is provided with a fine gate, with a large barn on the right with a granary behind. A garden lies behind the villa building with an orchard in the top right hand corner. Behind the main villa building to the left is a small cemetery enclosed by an earth bank and fence. In the foreground is a large area of open grazing with, with enclosed arable and stock paddocks in the upper left of the picture.
