Iron Age Orsett Cock
The defended enclosure at Orsett as it may have looked around the end of the Iron Age with massive timber rampart and gate structure. Together with the triple ditches these provided strong defences and made a very dramatic statement about the separation of the occupants of the enclosure and those outside.
